Beautiful Beta Iota Chapter History
On January 13, 1979 the "Beautiful" Beta Iota chapter was chartered at Spelman College, the first sorority allowed on the campus. The very first line consisted of five lovely ladies and there was a line every year until the hiatus of 1984. In 1993, the chapter was triumphantly revived by Soror Teki Hunt who pledged at the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff through the Beta Beta Chapter.
